Eligibility with Code:
- Option 1:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Option 2:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 norms.
- Option 3:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Option 4:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Option 5:
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- Note: If you have acquired the B.Ed qualification from any NCTE recognized institution, you can be appointed as a teacher for classes I to V. However, you must undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of your appointment as a primary teacher.
- Option 6:
- Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. program.
Class VI to VIII Eligibility with Code
- Option 1:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Option 2:
- At least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
- Option 3:
- Graduation with at least 45% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) following NCTE norms.
- Option 4:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Option 5:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.
- Option 6:
- Graduation with at least 50% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a 1-year B.Ed. or B.Ed Special Education program.
- Any candidate who has completed a recognized B.Ed. program by the NCTE is eligible for TET/CTET.
- Option 7:
- Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Passed or currently in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed program.
How to Fill Online form
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Paper I to V & VI to VIII in 2023.
- You can apply online from April 27, 2023, to May 26, 2023.
- Note that this year, exam centers are limited in every city. You will see the available exam center information while filling out the form.
- To secure your preferred exam center or city, it’s advisable to apply as soon as possible because slots are limited.
- Before applying, read the notification provided by CBSE for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) application thoroughly.
- Ensure you have all the necessary documents ready, including eligibility documents, ID proof, and address details.
- Prepare scanned copies of required documents such as your photo, signature, ID proof, etc.
- Before submitting the application, carefully review all the information you’ve entered in the form.
- If there is an application fee, make sure to pay it. Your application will not be considered complete without the required fee.
